Recently installed pre-launch at the Eurostar Paris Business Lounge, the compact tap system delivers 20 litres of water per hour, whichever option is selected. LED lit buttons ensure ease of use, the consistently safe, clean efficient flow and optional safety lock for boiling offers peace of mind. The optional sink drainer with integral drain turns the tap in to a stand-alone counter top drinks station. Infinite expansion of the boiling capacity is ideal for high-density environments.

Designed to robustly withstand the demands of high use areas, the Pureh2o SmartTap™ is manufactured in Great Britain, within 10 miles of our base in Woking, Surrey, with WRAS approved materials including solid 316 stainless steel chosen for strength, longevity and low environmental impact. With energy efficiency in mind, the boiling function uses 33% less energy than other hot water taps.

Installed with the optional Pureh2o RODI water purifier, the Pureh2o SmartTap™ delivers 99.99% pure water; purer by far than all bottled water brands, obviating the negative environmental impact of plastic bottled water and free from the myriad of impurities found in tap water. The RODI water purifier can also connect to steam ovens, coffee machines, ice makers and fridges for exceptional clarity and purity of taste and appearance, making it an ideal system for restaurants and hotels, as used at Belmond Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saisons, Oxford and Great Fosters, Surrey:

Press Release: Experts in Water Purification, The Pure H2O Company, Launches New Retail Website

PureH2O_website_2015The Pure H2O Company, home of the RODI S – said to be the world’s smartest drinking water system – today launched a new ecommerce website showcasing its advanced range of water purification, softening and conditioning systems, and its collection of multifunction taps including the iconic Quatreau™.

Roger Wiltshire, M.D. comments: “We are thrilled to launch our new website www.PureH2O.co.uk in response to and in reflection of our customers’ interests, lifestyles and exacting requirements across the spectrum of technologically advanced water purification systems, softeners and multifunction kitchen taps. And for the first time, customers can order online”.

The Pure H2O Co. has streamlined its offering supported by a website with user-focussed design and navigation. The website has plenty of attractive lifestyle images showing how the company’s systems fit into the home, with clear product descriptions.

This is supported with transparent technical nitty-gritty including tech specs, installation and servicing information. There is also environmental information about improved efficiencies, sustainability, reduced energy consumption, food miles and carbon footprint.

The company has taken this opportunity to launch it’s ‘whole home’ offering, ‘Point of Entry Home’, entirely replacing tap water with Reverse Osmosis purified water to protect against accidental or deliberate contamination. With savings running into the hundreds of pounds, it also offers RoSoCo (water purification by Reverse Osmosis, softening and conditioning) and the entry-level SoCo Home.

M.D. Roger Wiltshire, evidently passionate about water purity, continues: “We have a dedicated news section with up to the minute information on water issues, health and the environment. For example, there is information on water contaminants, minerals and hydration for those interested in health and fitness. And for those concerned about food miles and plastics waste, for example, we have stories on eco-friendly water choices”.

Nutritional consultant Eve Kalinik, says: “The Pure H2O guys really know their stuff… since having a purifier installed (and recommending them to my clients) I have certainly felt and seen the differences from a health perspective.”

The new website allows customers to order online, a new departure for the Pure H2O Co. Crucially, after placing an order, the company speaks to the customer, ensuring the systems are the best fit for them, arranging a site survey if necessary, before taking payment. The company can also liaise with architects during the planning stage of a new build or renovation. This level of personalised support is bound to attract discerning customers making an investment in their wellbeing, home comforts and environmental credentials.

Press Release: Sustainable Water Systems for the Home.

Sustainable Water Systems for the Home: Softeners, RODI Pure Water & Quatreau Tap.

Crucial to the design and planning stage of your new home or renovation project is sustainability after the build is complete. In this article we take a look at water systems serving appliances, heating systems and drinking water supply in the home and what can be done to safeguard your investment.

When it comes to kitchens and bathrooms, a softener system may be a wise choice. Softeners improve the bathing and hand washing experience especially in hard water areas, affording more comfortable skin and reduction in detergent use by around 50%.

By removing scale they also protect all appliances that use water: wet heating systems, washing machines, dishwashers and so on. This means your appliances and systems are less likely to breakdown and need repair or replacement, avoiding further financial outlay and consumption of resources.

‘Home’ evokes thoughts of design, comfort and convenience. It’s a place of safety and we take the safety of our water for granted. But you may have heard recent news stories about water quality, most recently that levels of cyanobacteria – or ‘blue-green algae’ as its commonly known – are massively increasing in the UK’s lakes, leading to fears it is present in UK tap water. Perhaps surprisingly, water treatment plants do not routinely test for cyanobacteria even though it’s a neurotoxin linked to the development of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

So is now the time to consider safe and sustainable alternatives to tap water? Many people opt for bottled water, but this involves high levels of plastic use and waste, not to mention food miles. A sustainable alternative that can be installed in your home either during your renovation / build project or afterwards is a RODI (Reverse Osmosis with De-Ionisation) purifier.

A RODI purifier typically fits under the kitchen sink. It automatically ‘cleans’ tap water of naturally-occurring and man-made impurities including disease-causing micro-organisms, pesticides from runoff, chemicals, medications and hormones. Studies show that the RODI process produces the purest water and is also environmentally responsible, achieving a 95%+ lower carbon footprint compared to drinking bottled water.

The result is 99.99% pure water delivered through an unobtrusive small tap fitted in any kitchen sink. The Quatreau tap system, which delivers RODI pure water as boiling, chilled, sparkling and hot/cold from a single, touch-screen tap, is also available – visit http://www.quatreau.com

So when it comes to water and the home, don’t forget to plan for the sustainability of your water systems to reduce future costs and safeguard your water supply.

Press Release: Cyanobacteria On The Increase?

DRINKING WATER POISONED BY TOXIC ALGAE?

Levels of cyanobacteria – or ‘blue-green algae’ as its commonly known – are massively on the increase in our lakes, a frightening finding as UK water treatment plants – those that deliver your tap water – do not routinely test for it even though it’s a neurotoxin linked to the development of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

Cyanobacteria is toxic. Acute exposure causes skin irritation, gastroenteritis and respiratory symptoms; chronic exposure in low-doses over a number of years can result in liver tumours, hormone disruption and neurodegenetive disease.

A 58% rise has been seen over the past 200 years in lakes across the UK including the Lake District, the West Midlands, Scotland and Northern Ireland due to rises in industrial pollution. (Ecology Letters.)

Cyanobacteria accumulations can be seen on waterways as a blue-green bloom. It’s deadly to animals so keep your pets away from it. It can’t be seen or tasted in tap water, so there’s no way of knowing if you are drinking it or not. The old adage rings true: better safe than sorry.

The slug pesticide metaldehyde has also been found in tap water at levels breaching UK standards, and water treatment plants cannot remove it.

So is it time to look into alternatives to tap water to hydrate safely for your health, fitness and wellbeing?

There are many bottled water brands on the market, but studies show the RODI (Reverse Osmosis with De-Ionisation) purification process produces the purest water possible. It’s also environmentally responsible, achieving a 95%+ lower carbon footprint compared to drinking bottled water.

A RODI purifier typically fits under the kitchen sink. It automatically ‘cleans’ tap water, resulting in 99.99% pure water across the spectrum of man-made and unavoidable impurities. The pure water is delivered through an unobtrusive small tap fitted in your existing kitchen sink (although the Quatreau tap system which delivers RODI pure water as boiling, chilled, sparkling and hot/cold from a single, touch-screen tap, is also available). Both the RODI purifier and the taps can be retrofitted.

The Pure H2O Company can advise on water, health and RODI purifiers. Visit http://www.pureh2o.co.uk where there is a news section to keep you informed about current health and environmental issues affecting your water supply. Roger Wiltshire, M.D. of The Pure H2O Company is passionate about water purity and would be delighted to talk to you further; email roger@pureh2o.co.uk or call 01483 617 000
